| 150 Tourism Professionals from Australia, New Zealand and Britain, who are the members of International Tourism Professionals Club, have attended the ceremony in the Anzac Cove of the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park in order to remember November 11th, when the WW1 had finished. After the 68th general assembly of International Tourism Professionals Association (SKAL), a group of 150 professionals from Australia, New Zealand and Britain have attended the ceremony in the Anzac Cove on November 11, 2007. The Foreign Tourism Professionals had entered to the area with their Country Flags. After the speeches, a service had been performed. During the service, emotional moments had been lived while remembering their ancestors. The President of International Tourism Professionals Assosciation, Philip Sims from New Zealand, had performed a speech and told that apart form April 25, November the 11th, when the WW1 had finished, is also very important to them. Mr Sims told that they are all in favour of peace and not very happy with the Gallipoli Campaign and added that on the other hand the Gallipoli Campaign had played an important role for Australia and New Zealand by stimulating the identity of their countries. Doing so, Canakkale as being homeland for this impressive event, is also very important both for Australians and New Zealanders Mr Sims concluded that they are inviting all over the world to peace.The vice president of SKAL, Hulya ASLANTAS, told that as being the descendents of the so-called Gentlemen War, we are all shouting all over the world for peace and friendship. After the speeches, the group visited the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park. |
