Traces of 7000 years lost city have been found during the survey in Işıldakaltı Hill area of Erenköy town in Çanakkale. Lecturer of Department of Archaeology in Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU) and Vice President of the Board of the ancient city of Troy excavation Associate Prof. Dr. Rüstem Aslan said: "We saw in our research some pottery fragments in coastal areas. The mound in this coastal area surprised us. We determined that teher was a prehistoric settlement on the shore in this region. We identified with the examination on pieces of pottery we found, this settlement was from 5000 BC. This data shown us the settlement of this period in the shore of Dardanelles, was lost with the rise of sea level. We will continue this research with the findings of this area."
