Permanent Secretary of Australian Ambassy Responsible of Ministry of Veteran Affairs and Gallipoli Affairs Ian Fletcher, Responsible of New Zealand Ambassy Dealing With Veteran Affairs Elaine Davies and Responsible of Australian Anzac Ceremony Tim Evans visited Mayor of Gallipoli Mustafa Özacar. They met for Anzac ceremonies and 100 year anniversary of Gallipoli Campaign in 2015. Ian Fletcher said: “Studies continue for two years. Thank you for your hospitality. We proud to visit you. Your support and interest make us happy. We wish to improve the relationship with Gallipoli Municipality. Anzac Day ceremonies are national day for us. In 1915 the war was not a victory for us but gave us a national identity. After the war, the developing friendship between the countries has increased today. We made a commission for 100 year anniversary of Anzac Day ceremonies. How and where the actors will work in Gallipoli Peninsula and Çanakkale will be determined after we offer the commission report in January.” Mayor Mustafa Özacar said: “Gallipoli is a great city to be a name and a history. Campaign in the past became a beginning of a new rise and our city was an example for world peace. Guests gave gifts to Mayor Özacar end of the visit.
