Australia National Basketball Team has come to Canakkale in order to visit Gallipoli Peninsula Historical Nationa Park. Australian National Basketball Team has originally come to Turkiye in order to perform 2 friendly matches with Turkiye National Basketball Team. Doing so, the team has also perfomed a trip to Canakkale in order to visit the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park. The Australian National Basketball Team has stayed in Kolin Hotel and started their tour to Gallipoli Battlefields early in the morning. The team players has been impressed with the sprit of the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park. The captain of the Australian National Basketball Team, Sam mC kNNON and the pleyer, Jason Smith, told that it is one of the most emotional times for them. They added that they came here for the firiendly match with Turkiye National Team and they are very happy to be in the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park in order to show their respect to the heros of Gallipoli Campaign. The captain, Sam Mc Knnon told that before coming to Turkiye, they were also planning to visit Gallipoli Peninsula, the historical peninsula has always been very important for them and it is impossible to forget those days 92 years ago.
