Çanakkale which has an important place in Tourism, attended The International Tourism Fair held in Sofia City of Bulgaria with a rich staff. Authorities said 341 presentation spaces prepared in organization in National Culture Center located on the center of Sofia. Fair participants included many companies from Turkey, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Russia, Tunisia, Croatia, Macedonia, Thailand, Netherlands, Malta, England, Germany, Israel, Peru, South Africa, Slovenia and Dubai. Cultural, spa, health, eco tourism and hobby content types as well as summer and winter tourism were included in Fair Sofia. "Istanbul 2010" was processed as the main theme in 120 square meters presentation area of Turkey. Çanakkale was also located in the presentation area prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism Sofia Counselor. The participants included; Deputy Governor Ali Partal, Mayor Ülgür Gökhan, GESTAŞ General Manager Hasan Yörükçü, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Şinasi Haznedar, Duygu Albayrak, Gülay Sarışen from Municipality, tourism businessmen Ali Akol, Aşkın Değirmenci, Salih Yüksel, Ali Aldemir, Hilmi Selimoğlu, Metin Ataol, Kemal Pazarbaşı, Kürşat Akkarpat and Ceramic Artist Muhammet Onat.
High Interest to Çanakkale Stand
Çanakkale stand which had a great interest after the official opening of the exhibition also drew Bulgarian TV Channels attention. Mayor Ülgür Gökhan responded to questions of Bulgarian TV in Çanakkale stand. Mayor Gökhan focused on the importanceof bilateral relations between two countries. Mayor Gökhan said: "We are the individuals of two society which has not too many difference, in fact. In recent years, the interest of Bulgarian citizens for Çanakkale is increasing. Organizations such as this provide benefits for development of relations." Cultural Attache of Sofia Gülay Aslan was also participated to Fair. Turkey's Ambassador of Bulgaria told the future project for Çanakkale. The owner of Aşkın Art Hotel, Aşkın Değirmenci said:" Better presentations of Çanakkale in fairs are a subject to pride for our city. The studies about presentation of Çanakkale around Turkey and world is very important. Thanks to everybody for their effort." |
