| The unfortunate crash of Dumlupinar Submarine and Swedish Flagged Freighter 54 years ago, which resulted to the death of 81 Turkish Mariners in the Dardanelles Strait, is becoming a movie. The 'Dumlupinar' movie is being directed by Onur Tan and Hakan Akyol. The directors have been working on this project nearly 10 years.In the movie of the unfortunate crash of Dumlupinar Submarine and Swedish Flagged Freighter, Bruce Will and Nick Nolte would also take place. Famous Turkish Actros and Actresses, Haluk Bilginer, Fikret Kuskan, Ozan Guven, Meltem Cumbul and Okan Bayulgen would play in the movie. The 'Dumlupinar' movie would be recorded in Canakkale, Antalya, Istanbul, Italy and Malta. While making the film, the technical staff of the Titanic Movie, would also contribute to some of the parts. While recording the movie, some of the scenes would be made in the Malta Underwater Studios with IT support. The budget of the 'Dumlupinar' movie has been announced as 13 milion dolars, and 200 thousand USD support credit has been raised by the Ministery of Culture and Tourism. The film would start with the scuba dive of the World Record Medalist, Yasemin Dalkilic, to the Dumlupinar Submarine in the anniversary of the sunk. |
