Monuments And Historical Fountains Of Peninsula Will Be Restored
Most of the monuments and historical fountains in Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park will be restored. Eceabat District Governor Bülent Uygur said: ”There are 56 Turkish monuments inside Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park. Restoration of all monuments is a matter of opportunity. Turkey has one of the most great economies in the world today. There is an improvement on the maintenance of the monuments inside historical peninsula till ten years. There are many castle and redoubts in historical peninsula. Some of them is ready, some of them continues. But there are too many things to do in peninsula, because 80 thousand martyr is in there. The location of Turkish martyrdom was pointed in the historical map of Mehmet Şevki Paşa. Our National Park Directory is studying cooperatively with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University to find out the real martyrdoms. This is an important study. We are expecting that theese studies are finished as soon as possible. There was a photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Jandarma Kireçtepe Martyrdom in 1916. We finished Project of this martyrdom as Unity of Servicing Villages. Havuzlar, Akbaş, Alçıtepe, Soğanlıdere, Çamteke Martyrdom, Martyrdom of Commander of 57th Regiment Hüseyin Avni Bey, Mehmet Çavuş Statue and Rumeli Mecidiye Martyrdom projects were accomplished by District Unity of Servicing Villages.” "HISTORICAL FOUNTAINS WILL BE RESTORED." We will start a study of cemeteries of 8 villages. We translate from Ottoman to Turkish on the grave Stones in c emeteries of 12 villages and Eceabat Center.
