New Era in Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park
Two seperate checkpoints were established in front of Kilye Cove and Mecidiye Redoupts for exploring of Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park accompanying by a guide. Chairman of Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Parks Field Guides Cooperative Hilmi Çelik mentioned that field guides were educated to save the region and inform the visitors correctly. He said: “Every vehicles take a field guide in other national parks. This application will be in Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park too. There will be no restriction of the guideness of official guides but they will also take a field guide for entering the area. National Park Management will pay tax to the state exactly. Two entrance checkpoints were built in front of Kilye Cove and Mecidiye Redoupts on the 1st of June. The visitors more that 12 person in one vehicle will take a field guide certainly. The visitors less than 12 person in one vehicle will take a field guide if they require.” FIELD GUIDES MAY NOT BE ENOUGH Hilmi Çelik said: “There are 150 field guide. There will be a course with 100 participants in October and November to educate more field guides. The participants have to be more than high school graduate, over 18 years old and located in the area of national park until 5 years or more.” Deputy Manager of Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park İsrafil Erdoğan said: “The entry and exit of the region will control more easily with this legal application.”
