GESTAŞ A.Ş. provides the transportation in Dardanelles, islands and South Marmara lines. Four ships hired for ten years by GESTAŞ are continued to build. GESTAŞ General Manager Hasan Yürükçü said: ”Four new ferries are contiued to build in Yalova Sefine Docks. Build of ferries started 8 months ago by Kolsan A.Ş. Our ferries would be equiped with facilities sensitive for environment. 90 vehicles, 400 and 600 passenger capacity, full automation, control over 360 degrees swievel bridge ferries operated by us for a period of ten years. Two of the ferries will come in ney year and others will come in 18th of March. From Çanakkale to Eeceabat will take 15 minutes and from Gelibolu to Lapseki will take 18 minutes by new ferries. Daily cost of each ferry would be 3760 dollars and ten year total cost of four ferries would be 52,5 million dollars. Çanakkale sea< transportation would be relaxed with new ferries.”
