Reservation Model For The Bussiest Period Of Canakkale Tourism
In the last 2 years, one of the most bussiest period of Canakkale Tourism have become between March 15, and June 15 with regards to the immnese interest of local tourists to Canakkale particularly the school trips. Every year hundred thousands of students and local tourits have started to visit Canakkale particualry between March and June. The main spots in these visits are Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park, and the ancient city Troia. Increasing attention have also been attracted for Assos and Bozcaada. With regards to this bussiest period, the reservation model has been proposed by CATOD ( Canakkale Tourism Companies and Investors Association) in order to increase the utility of the bussiest period of Canakkale Tourism. The President of CATOD, Mr Ali AKOL, told that it is true that there is a immense potential between March and June but this potential is mainly focused on weekends particularly saturdays. Mr AKOL added that in order to increase the potential of this period, the reservation model should be taken into consideration which would extend the reservation requests of the period. It is told that this would be beneficial not only for the hotels but also all the bussiness owners in Canakkale. Mr Akol told that Canakkale would benefit from its tourism potential when the duration of stay avarage is increased to more than two nights
