Seyit Onbaşı statue is located in Kilitbahir Village of Eceabat Town in Çanakkale. Former statue removed three years ago, because it wasn't seem as real. When the former statue built on same place with request of sculptor's family, the villagers who saw this statue again, were surprised. The relatives of sculptor Hüseyin Anka who sculptured the former statue and was dead last year, appealed to Ministry of Culture and Tourism Directory of Fine Arts for replacing former statue. The Ministery decided to replace the former statue instead of new one. The former statue brought from Ankara Directory of Fine Arts to Kilitbahir and replaced to same point. The newest statue which sculptured by sculptor Eray Okkan and located since three years, is exhibited in Seyit Onbaşı Park of Eceabat Municipality. Seyit Onbaşı loaded the barrel with 276 kgs shell alone and with this shot, Ocean battleship of UK was hit and sunk on the 18th of March 1915.
