35 professional British Swimmer have come to Canakkale in order to join 'the 21st Sahap Tarzi Swimming Across Dardanelles Race' across the dardanelles on August 30. After the first day of their arrival to Kervansaray Canakkale Hotel, the group had performed 3 hours swimming exercise in the Yeni Kordon district . The British Swimmers had completed the 4 Km exercise path in 3 hours time. It is told that the swimmers are part of a professional swimming club in London. The Manager of the British Travel Company, Simon Movrie, told that it would be very exiting to cross the dardenelles by swimming for all of the group members. Some of the British Swimmers, Jane Speakman, Matt, Baar and Chris Moran told that they are very happy to be in Canakkale and exited about the swimming race. The representitive of Wilusa Travel, Fatma GOZUTOK, told that they are working hard for the organisation. It is told that some of the swimmers in the group had also swimmed in Gibraltar, the English Channel and so on. 150 swimmers would attend the race on August 30 which is 3.5 miles long.
