The second International Ayvacik Culture and Art Festival is being celebrated with several activities in the Ayvacik district of Canakkale. In the concept of the festival, The Turkish and Greek folklore players performed a special play on the historical Murat Hudavandigar Bridge near to Ayvacik village. In the concept of the festival programme, the famous Turkish Singers, Ege, Gokhan Tepe and Linet have performed indivual concerts which attracted huge interest. During the ceremonies on the historical Hudavendigar Bridge, The Turkish side came from the North part of the bridge and the Greek side came from the South part of the bridge and both groups met in the middle and salute the attandance. The Head of Ayvacik Muniplicty, Unal Sahin, and The Head of Lesbos Mniplicity, Stefanos Apostolou, had performed a speech to the attandances and shared the idea of repeating this type of events in order to strengthen the peace between 2 countries. The attandances went to Assos after the celebrations on the hudavendigar bridge. In Assos Lesbos Music School and Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University folklore music groups performed several shows regarding the cultures of Turkiye and Greece. The Turkish Singer, Ayla ALGAB, gave a mini concert after the folkloric dances in Assos. At the end of the activities in Assos, traditional lokma dessert and white cheese are served to the guests. At night, Turkish Art Music Singer, Dilek Kavraal, gave a concert in the 5000 seated Ayvacik stadium. Further celebrations and concerts are performed all through the night. |
