The Number Of The Wind Power Stations Will Be Increased
Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Hilmi GULER, told that their one of the top priority is nature friendly energy resources, doing so the 17 megawatt wind power station capacity of Turkiye has been increased to 200 Megawatts. Minister GULER stated the mid term target of the nature friendly energy resources as 8 thousand Megawatts and increase the value of the market up to 10 bilion USD. Minister GULER has performed investigations to the Canakkale region with a helicopter, during the investigations Minister GULER told that they have composed the wind resources map of Turkiye, doing so Canakkale Province has been maked as one of the most fertile regions of Turkiye. Minister GULER addded that with the composed wind resources map, the investors would take the advantage of ready field feasibility analyses.Wind Energy as being the most clear energy resource would be a top priority for the Energy and Natural Resources Minsitery and it is aimed to increase the wind power capacity of Turkiye up to 8 thousand Mega Watts. Minister GULER added that the Government has also declared 10 year buying gurantee to the wind power station investors. Minister GULER stated that with the increase of the wind power stations, the energy dependency of Turkiye would decrease in time.
